Ignorance of flesh (idea)

An observation. I find it odd that there are so many people that will hate, ostracize and kill for reasons as stupid as flesh tone and sexual orientation. It really doesn't take much to see through the meaningless of it. We are all human, (presumed the only sentient species on planet Earth), with pretty much the same holes and flesh compound.

How can the human mind actually make a judgement based on purely visual appearance, (even typos or grammer), or things we do with our bodies? I consider my life online much more visible and perhaps damning than how i look, or what i do physically. When i go get my facial peircings done, it will impact how i am perceived at banks when i go to them looking for support on my internet application project. Sex is just using our bodies in a more interactive format that gives pleasure (or pain). We were born with what we have, and respect for someone's private use of it should be upheld.

Bering Land Bridge (thing)

The ice bridge that existed between where Siberia and Alaska are now. The gap is about 55 miles long, letting Asians about 1300 years ago travel across, bringing themsleves and their technology to North America.

We can thank this bridge for giving us such Canadian activites as snowshoeing and advanced fur/Winter weather design. Perhaps they even brought Sorel boots with them.

Large clunky boots that are worn by everyone from schoolkids walking home in the slush to arctic expedition science officers. Most styles of Sorel boots have a long narrow part that comes up your foot with a canvas hood with drawstring at the top to prevent slushy wet snow from getting in.

A very Canadian boot required for many activities from snowshoeing to ski-doo races over frozen bodies of water. Much smarter to wear at outdoor BBQ's than a pair of Airwalks.

How do Sorel boots keep feet so warm?

Trapped air is an excellent insulator. Insulation compresses under weight which reduces the trapped air. Soft foam compresses easily so it isn't as good as felt. Sorel boots use what they call a "Frostplug" insole in their boots which have the trademark name, ThermoPlus. The "Frostplug" is made of special felt absorbs perspiration and moisture. too busy to think (idea)

Being too busy to think happens when you have a desk full of paperwork and robotic routines that need to be followed where there is no hope for creative exploration. Then of course, i get a pile of email stacking up, 3 lovely women concurrently ICQing me, and a request from MSN messenger service to start NetMeeting to chat with a comrade at arms.

This may be good if you're still trying to forget someone, but then, it's also hard to move forward when the invisible tentacles of online life keep you strapped in bondage to the machine. YAY, i don't want to think right now, i want to keep on my focus developing an online community site. I never knew there was so much involved, but it's exciting to not live within creatively induced turmoil
