Cantinflas (person)

Mario Moreno "Cantinflas" was a prolific Mexican physical comedian (actor/writer/producer/singer) born August 12, 1911 in Mexico City, Mexico. Aside from the 50+ roles he played in Mexican cinema, American audiences would come to know him as "Passepartoute" in Around the World in 80 Days (1956).

It is unknown how exactly Moreno took his stage name, but the two most probable explanations are that he either:

Changed his name simply to avoid disgrace to his family (who looked down on show business as a profession)
Derived his name from the comment "En la cantina, tu inflas!" ("In the bar room, you talk big!") made by a heckler at one of his early shows.

Much of Cantinflas' multi-million dollar earnings were donated to Mexican charity such as high-quality low-income housing for poverty-stricken Mexicans.

Aside from being a woodcutting tool and a slang term for a choice musical instrument, Axe is also an elite line of alluring deodorant body spray for men sold in the US (reportedly a ripoff of British-based Lynx).

Axe is popular for its ability to allegedly get you the ladies (results are still dismal for some of us) and also for the commercials that demonstrate "The Axe Effect." Some of these commercials feature the typical beautiful woman being enflamed with passion for a mannequin simply because it is wearing Axe and others feature various beautiful women ironically fulfilling male fantasies (three-way with a friend, shrugging off a forgotten birthday, etc.).

John Bowlby (person)

John Bowlby, (1907-1990), was a famous British psychologist who graduated from the prestigious Cambridge University. Bowlby became Staff Psychologist at the London Child Guidance Clinic soon after graduating.
Later, Bowlby transfered to Tavistock Clinic, where he held the position of chairman in the department for children and parents. His work covered a variety of topics from crime and juvenile deliquency, but most notably he created a widely-studied theory of attachment and the maternal deprivation hypothesis.

Monotropism is the psychological view that a child becomes exclusively attached to one parent or parent-figure (caregiver, teacher, etc). The parent most often emotionally attached to is the mother (hence the term Mama's boy).
Monotropism is a theory that many psychologists hold true, among them being John Bowlby. Bowlby used the theory of monotropism as one aspect in his theory of attachment.

Retinal disparity is the psychological term for the binocular method in which we, as humans, perceive distance visually. Based on your eyes' position in space, each eye receives a slightly different visual cue from an object being focused on. Your brain then uses this stimuli to calculate the distance from the object being focused on to you.
