Ub (Ubbe Ert) Iwerks is the legendary animation pioneer who is well-known for his partnership with Walt Disney and his wacky sense of humor (Chuck Jones, who worked with Iwerks in his early years once quipped: Iwerks is Screwy spelled backwards).

Iwerks was born on March 2, 1901 in Kansas City, Missouri. Throughout his childhood Iwerks always had a passion for art, and so at the age of 18, the young artist took a job at the commercial art studio Pesman-Rubin. Before long however, a bright, outgoing, young man full of ideas also joined the ranks at Pesman-Rubin, Walt Disney.

Iwerks and Disney soon developed a strong friendship and by the following year had left Pesman-Rubin to form their own company, Iwerks-Disney Commercial Artists. The Banana Slug (Ariolimax columbianus) is a mollusk, belonging to the class Gastropoda. They are also Pulmonates which means that they have a small lung, the small hole they have is a pneumostone which passes air into their small cavity-like lung. These slugs live in the moist forest floors along the Pacific Coast of North America and acts as a decomposer as well as a frugivore and may play a part in forest regeneration and seed dispersal. Apparently, mushrooms are one of the banana slug's favorite foods.

Banana Slugs are so named because they are bright yellow, often with black spots, giving the appearence of a banana. However, Banana Slugs can come in solid greenish, pale brown, and almost albino. Burbank Glendale Pasadena Airport (Burbank Airport; Airport Code: BUR) opened on Memorial Day, 1930 as United Airport after its builder, United Airports Company of California, Ltd. Believed by many to be the first multimillion-dollar airport in the United States, it soon became the major airport for the Los Angeles Area, dwarfing its nearby predecessor, Grand Central Airport. Many legendary aviators frequented Burbank Airport, among them were: Amelia Earhart, Charles Lindenberg, and Wiley Post.

With the onset of war, Burbank Airport was purchased by the Lockheed Company who renamed it the Lockheed Air Terminal, and set about expanding the complex to help the war effort. Even as it became a factory where thousands of B-17s P-38s, and Hudson bombers were rolling off the assembly lines.

Eugene McCarthy is best known as the man who dared to challenge President Lyndon Baines Johnson for the 1968 Democractic Party nomination on the basis that Johnson's Vietnam policies were morally wrong.

McCarthy was born in Watkins, Minnesota. A religous man, he graduated from St. John's University in 1935, before studying at a Catholic monastery, and then receiving his master's dergee from the University of Minnesota in 1938. He was elected to the House of Representatives in 1948 and worked as a college professor prior. He was nominated to the Senate after 10 years in the House, and remained there until 1971.

McCarthy's 1968 campaign was fairly independent of the party, as much of his support was garnered from volunteers who went door-to-door campaigning for him. Many were antiwar protestors, following used the slogan "Clean for Gene," as they cut their long hair and wore their nicest apparel to help…

Based on the ill-fated 6 episode comedy series Police Squad! that was developed for ABC in 1981 by Zucker Abrahams Zucker (ZAZ), The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad! (The Naked Gun) followed the cheap gags, jokes, and utter nonsense is the trademark of ZAZ productions and was the first in a trilogy revolving around spoofing the Los Angeles Police Department. In The Naked Gun Leslie Nielsen reprised his role as the incompetent Lt. Frank Dreben.

The 1988 movie revolved around a consipracy by Vincent Ludwig (Ricardo Montalban) to kill Queen Elizabeth II on a visit to Los Angeles. Of course Drebin is assigned to the case, and thwarts Vincent's attempts to kill him, at one point having one of Vincent's men fall into a vat of hot dogs which Vincent eats later on in the movie.
