The Federation of International Civil Servants' Associations or FICSA is simply the international federation of all these separate institutional staff associations, established in May 1952 to represent the concerns of all staff working for the United Nations system.

Its membership consists of ;

Full members - 27 staff associations/unions from organizations within the United Nations system

This began to concern a number of national pilots' associations who were being left out of the process. As a result thirteen associations formed the International Federation of Air Line Pilots’ Associations or IFALPA in 1948.

The IFALPA therefore exists to deal with matters which affect international civil aviation and to provide airline pilots with a global voice in the world's major aviation forums. Unlike other similar international federations it does not appear to concern itself with any issues regarding pay, conditions or the state of the Amazonian rain forest (it leaves those sort of issues to the national pilots' associations) but occupies itself with the issue of aviation safety.
Its current membership consists of over 90 member associations representing a total in excess of 100,000 pilots.
Federation of European Employers (thing)http://everything2.com/user/IndigoSky/writeups/Federation+of+European+EmployersIndigoSkyhttp://everything2.com/user/IndigoSky2002-10-01T11:23:45Z2002-10-01T11:23:45Z
The Federation of European Employers or FedEE describes itself as "the leading organisation for progressive employers in Europe". But despite its name the FedEE is not a representative organisation, it was founded in 1989 with money provided by the European Commission, and exists to sell the idea of Europe, Europe in the sense of the European Union and the Single European Market.

It now considers itself to be an independent initiative and essentially provides support services to the Personnel or Human Resource functions of large companies with a Pan-European reach, based on the premise that the spread of the Euro and the adoption of English as a common language, will make a unified approach to corporate policy in this area a practical reality.
World Federation of Trade Unions (thing)http://everything2.com/user/IndigoSky/writeups/World+Federation+of+Trade+UnionsIndigoSkyhttp://everything2.com/user/IndigoSky2002-09-30T16:03:49Z2002-09-30T16:03:49Z
In February 1945, whilst World War II was still in the process of being fought, a World Trade Union Conference was held in London chaired by representatives from the Trades Union Congress of the United Kingdom, the Congress of Industrial Organisations of the United States and the All Union Central Council of Trade Unions of the USSR.
