A way to keep your sanity while at work. Most people can't stare at the same problem for 8 hours a day. The solution is to have something else to do when your brain fries.

Some people play games (like Solitaire or Minesweeper), others surf the web, while the intellegent people spend their breaks noding. Tired people will take catnaps on breaks. There's also bathroom breaks.

Length and occurence of breaks vary widely. Some have their break schedule dictated to them by their employer. Others take them when ever they want. Some breaks last only a moment, but others may last for an hour or more. Lunch break!

Of course there are those that just goof off at work. For them, breaks are actually doing what they're supposed to be doing.

River City (place)

A mythical town in Iowa created by Merideth Wilson for the musical The Music Man. Merideth Wilson modeled the town after his own hometown Mason City, Iowa.

In The Music Man, River City is populated by a bunch of very stubborn people:

Mayor George Shinn, his wife Eulalie Mackechnie Shinn, and their daughter Zaneeta
Marian Paroo, the librarian and piano teacher, her mother, and her little brother Winthrop. Marian is a spinster and was given the librarian by an old, single man.
Marcellus Washburn, a former con artist and associate of Harold Hill
The Ladies Auxiliary: Maud Dunlop, Ethel Toffelmier, and Alma Hix (led by Eulalie Mackechnie Shinn) These ladies are the gossips of the town
The School Board: Jacey Squires, Ewart Dunlop, Olin Britt, and Oliver Hix They are constantly arguing until formed into a quartet by Harold Hill.

The Music Man (thing)

A Broadway musical by Merideth Willson about a traveling salesman (read: con man) named Professor Harold Hill, attempting to make lots of money at the expence of a bunch of stubborn Iowans, in the early 1900s. Of course, he meets a girl and falls in love by the end, with much hijinx and songs in between.

The rest of this is a plot (and song) summary... However, Music Man does not depend on a surprise ending or plot twists, so reading this won't spoil much. The fun of Music Man is not its (predictable) plot, but the songs and the characters.

The play starts out with a "song" (words said to a beat, really) called Rock Island, about how being a travelling salesman has changed, leading into a description of how Prof. Hill makes a living selling Boys Bands, with instruments, uniforms, and instruction books. Saiyajin (person)

The "proper" spelling (is closer to the origional Japanese) of Saiyan. They are from the anime Dragonball Z.

Saiyajins come from the planet Vegita, which was blown up by Freeza. They look human, but have a monkey-like tail and extraordinary strength. When they see the full moon, they turn into huge apes (think King Kong) that are generally bad to be around. They can avoid transforming by cutting off their tails.

Saiyajins are the only ones that can go Super Saiyajin.

The Saiyajins that I know of in Dragonball Z are Son Goku and Vegita. There are two half-human, half-Saiyajins: Gohan (son of Son Goku and Chi Chi) and Trunks (son of Vegita and Bulma).

Super Saiyajin (person)

Something that happens to the Saiyajins in Dragonball Z after enough training and getting pissed off. Greatly increases their strength and power. After a while, they return to normal (or what passes for normal for a Saiyajin), but they can switch back whenever they want.

Origionally there was only supposed to be one Super Saiyajin (the legendary Super Saiyajin), but eventually all the Saiyajins on the show can do it.

There are 4 levels of Super Saiyajin:

SSJ Level 1
Their hair flips up into a very spikey hairdo (no matter what the length/style it was before) and turns a bright blonde (again, ignoring whatever color it was before).

The best way to discribe the power level of SSJ Level 1 is through an analogy. A first level Super Saiyajin is to a normal Saiyajin as a Saiyajin is to a normal human.

A character in Dragonball Z. Created by combining the DNA of Vegeta, Piccilo, Son Goku, Gohan, Freeza, and several other powerful people.

Comes from the future in a time machine (apparently stolen from Trunks in an alternate reality) to destroy the Earth (like most other enemies).

Gets his ass kicked by Piccilo, then crawls away.
