A snack food consisting of spheroid puffs of cooked grain product colored orange and flavored with either real or imitation cheddar cheese powder. Cheese balls are usually 1/2" to 3/4" in diameter, depending on the manufacturer. Similar to Cheese Doodles in texture and taste, if not shape.

WARNING! Eating cheese balls will cause a discoloration in your fingertips for about two weeks (the time it takes to grow a new layer of skin) or until you wash your hands, whichever comes first.

Actually, "Cheese Ball" also refers to that softball-sized globe of cheese-product covered in nuts that you avoided like the plague at the last company Christmas party. But that's not what I was originally thinking of...
