Linux For Monkeys is intented to
help you with using Linux, developing software, and give
some trivial and non-trivial information about various subject.
I named it "Linux For Monkeys", not to imply that the reader is
a monkey, but because I admire the "... For Dummies" range of
books. Unfortunately, the people who write "For Dummies" do not
like to see their "For Dummies" things written by other people
and they get quite ticked off about unauthorized use.
"For Monkeys" was just an alternative that popped up in my head.
It doesn't have all the negative implications of "For Stupid Morons"
and such. Don't be offended by it. "Do not judge a node by its
title".

I am not a very good writer. English is a second language for me.
If I make a spelling error, or use weird grammatical structures,
please let me know via e-mail (tribbel@tribe.eu.org) or
via Everything's Chatterbox feature.
Also, I am not an authoritative source of Linux-related information.
I have some knowledge of Linux, but I don't know everything and I
could get some things wrong. Luckily, Everything allows for more than
one writeup per node, so feel free to add what I left out. To notify
me of errors please use /msg.
I hope this document will prove to be useful for those who are new to
Linux, and those who already have some experience with it.
