A magical well sometimes found in parks or forests or fairy tales. Wishing wells look like ordinary wells except that there's a Leprechaun at the bottom rather than water. The proper way to make a wish at a wishing well is to close your eyes, make your wish silently and toss down your penny. It's a common misconception that the likelihood of a wish coming true is related to the denomination of the coin; but it's not.
