A wise-fool is a person who seems the
fool by the standards of practical
mundanes and
jaded cynics yet follows an
innocent wisdom which comes from avoiding the corruption of
world-wisdom and the
loss of innocence or from a psychological or spiritual
redemption and a
second innocence. In
Tarot, this is
The Fool; in
Christian religions, this is someone who's replaced the taste of the
Forbidden Fruit with the
Eucharist; in
Buddhism this is someone who's achieved
satori.
