| Trading paint is a euphamism for when one car strikes another,
leaving each vehicle with evidence of the encounter. After trading
paint, it is often difficult to avoid detection, especially if you
return to the scene of the crime.
Today, I learned that a one-way trade of paint is possible. As I
executed a careless maneuver, I made contact with another
vehicle, which left a care package of red paint on my bumper.
However, as my car is equipped with an entirely plastic bumper, I have
no paint to trade.
This happily left no evidence on my victim, and paint wipes from
plastic quite easily. Therfore, it seems I have executed a successful
hit and run. The perfect crime.
I don't really recommend this strategy. Instead, I suggest avoiding
the hit and run altogether, because pesky things such as witnesses
may become a complication.
