RUSTLE - THUMP!!! I bolt out of bed, and run down the hall. I'm in the room almost before the crying begins. She's more frightened then hurt. The wailing stops quickly after I pick her up. "Do you want me to read you a story?" "Yes." Her arm blocks the light from her eyes as I rush through the book. "Another story?" she half-heartedly pleas. "No, go back to sleep. I love you."

She's asleep before I reach my bed.

Crystal calls in the morning, "Did Regan fall out of bed last night?"
