Crunchy taco shells are known to break apart when you bite into them. Sometimes they can break apart so violently that they act as knives made of corn. Most often their trajectory is the soft parts of the mouth, which is incredibly painful. If you are not careful, however, shrapnel can fly off in other directions, not limited to your eye.
