Common southern British English contracted form of "thank you". Homophone with "tar" in the same accent. Frequently found in the emphatic collocation "ta much".
Abbreviation for the Territorial Army, the UK's volunteer part-time army reserve force.
Abbreviation for the UK's Tricycle Association, a worthy if demographically threatened body of people who even cyclists think are weird, dedicated to the "three wheels good, two wheels baaaad" principle. They organise sporadic trike time trials and a few other races around Great Britain, and consume prodigious quantities of beer. Beards are almost obligatory for male members.
