As descriptions of things, they differ by person. "Stuff" is first person, "junk" is second person. It is always "my stuff" but "your junk." "Get your junk out of the living room!" "Hey, who moved my stuff out of the living room." Third person generally uses "junk," but it may change depending on the relationship between the first and third persons.
