A fruit that looks like a five-pointed star when you slice it. (In profile, it looks more like a toy American football, the size of a large lemon.) It's sweet and acid, like a citrus fruit, but has an edible skin and firm flesh like an apple. Fully ripe starfruit is a golden yellow, but it can also be eaten when mostly green.
