Sometimes seen in film or television depictions of military operations, the radar screen displays information recorded by radar. It usually involves a round display with a line drawn from center to edge. The line sweeps around the display as the radar beacon rotates. If an object is detected by the radar, that object is shown on the screen as a blip.
