| Highly refined hydrocarbon the consistency of a thick grease that is manufactured for topical use as a skin softener and lubricant. Can also be used to silence squeaks and rattles, and is good for chapped lips. Goes by the brand name Vaseline, although most stores sell a generic equivalent.
Under no circumstances should it be used as a sexual lubricant when latex is involved for birth control or disease prevention--the petroleum jelly will break down latex, rendering it ineffective as a barrier. |
