A one-way ticket can only take you so far.
The term one way, means that the ticket will only take you one way. The ticket will take you to your destination, but not back home. The phrase one-way ticket has been used in a variety of different expressions. Below I have listed a few favorites.
- This is my one-way ticket to getting rich!
- It's your one-way ticket to paradise...
- Drunk driving is a one-way ticket to jail.
Round trip tickets are an entirely different thing. Which I shall discuss another time. |
