In the sick, twisted world of the modern chain fast-food restaurant, there is no such word as small! Really. Well, in McDonald's anyway, but i'm fairly sure this is true for all of them. The language of corporate selling is different to the language of ordinary folks.
- Regular means Small
- Large means Medium
- Super-sized, extra large, gigantic means Large
Who are they trying to kid? The whole dumb public, that's who. And it works. However, this could be an interesting way of speaking if introduced into everyday life. For example:
- Small (person, breasts, bank balance) becomes Regular
- Large, tall, fat all become Super Sized!
Political correctness meets corporate bullshit. A match made in heaven. |
