Yiddish. It means, "a sad sack," or, "a poor excuse for a human being." Indeed a great example of how the sound of a word can offer its meaning based upon purely how it sounds; this seems to be a trait amongst many Yiddish words in my oppinion.

That Bill Gates, he is a real nebbish! Stay clear of him.
