So I went to this "job interview," which turned out to be a meeting to recruit new sales guys for this marketing company, whereby for every hundred dollars of product I sold, my "boss" made forty bucks and I made twenty, so of course, they encouraged me to recruit other people so I could be the boss, and my boss gets a cut of what I get. Mathematically it's a losing proposition.

Amway and Equinox are both active companies that participate in MLM strategies. They are both looked upon with suspicion by the US Government, as MLM is only slightly better than a pyramid scheme

It's easy to tell when you're being recruited into a multi-level marketing scam. The sleaze doing the recruiting will assure you over and over that it's not, in fact, a multi-level marketing scam.
