mocktail

A mocktail is essentially a cocktail minus the alcohol, although in most places we have a name for that, and it is "juice". The primary examples are the Roy Rogers, the Shirley Temple, and the Virgin Daiquiri. Mocktails are typically pitched by religious and school organizations are a safe alternative to alcohol. Some mocktail recipes follow:

Banana Smoothie¹
bananas, vanilla yogurt, honey, vanilla extract, ice

Berry Patch¹
blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, vanilla ice cream, milk

Berry Sweetheart¹
red cranberry juice, apple juice, honey

99'er²
3oz cranberry juice, 2oz orange juice, 1 dash 7-Up, 1 dash perrier, 1 dash grenadine - shaken and garnished with lime

Backyard Berry Sun Tea³
3 quarts cold water, 8 bags raspberry tea, 1 quart sparkling raspberry juice, granulated sugar, 2 limes sliced, 1 carton fresh raspberries
Pour water into 1 gallon jug. Add tea bags. Place in direct sunlight for 8 hours. Remove tea bags. Add raspberry juice and sugar (to taste). Pour over ice. Garnish with a lime wheel and raspberries. Serves 12.

Cardinal Punch¹
ginger ale, lemon juice, orange juice, cranberry juice

Cinderella¹
lemon juice, orange juice, pineapple juice, grenadine, ginger ale

Coco Colada¹
pineapple juice, coconut cream

Down East Delight¹
cranberry juice, grapefruit juice, orange juice, orgeat syrup

Front Porch Julep³
1 quart ginger ale, 1 pint cold water, 1/4 cup sugar, 6 lemons whole, 2 lemons sliced, 2 bunches fresh mint, Crushed ice
In a large container combine ginger ale, water, and sugar. Juice 6 lemons into mixture. Sir well. Using a wooden spoon, crush the mint until stems are broken. Add crushed ice to glass and pour liquid over them. Add mint and lemon slices.

Green Grape Glacier¹
white grape juice, sparkling water, green grapes

Mock Champagne³
1 cup grape juice, 1/4 cup orange juice, 1pt ginger ale
Combine juices and chill. Add ginger ale right before serving. 6 servings.

Near White Wine³
6 ounces white grape juice, 1 tablespoon lime juice
Mix ingredients and serve chilled on the rock. Garnish with 2 fresh mint leaves.

Pilgrim's Punch¹
grape juice, cranberry juice, sparkling water

Pussyfoot¹
orange juice, lemon juice, lime juice, sparkling water, egg

Roy Rogers¹
cola, grenadine

Shirley Temple¹
lemon-lime soda, ginger ale, grenadine

Snowball Special³
2 parts cranberry cocktail, 1 part apple cider
Mix the cranberry cocktail and apple cider. Add a splash of orange juice. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Garnish with an orange slice.

Soda Shop Cola¹
cola, vanilla extract, cherry juice

Spring Fever¹
lemon juice, apple juice, blood orange juice, mango syrup

Sundowner¹
white grape juice, sparkling water, fresh mint

Tropical Colada¹
coconut milk, lime juice, sugar-free lemon-lime soda

Vienna Soother¹
coffee, cream, chocolate syrup, cinnamon

Virgin and Tonic⁴
tonic water, lemon, ice

Virgin Mary¹
tomato juice, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, lemon juice

Virgin Miami Vice¹
pineapple juice, coconut cream, half & half, strawberry puree, lime juice, simple syrup

Virgin Strawberry Daiquiri³
1 bag ice, 1 bottle strawberry Daiquiri mix, 1 quart strawberries
Mix all ingredients in a blender and serve.
