A term from the military in Norway. We don't have a professional military, it's based on drafting. So young men of all social layers have to serve in the military. Many of them have never lived on their own, being 18 years old. So often they don't know the basics behind laundry and how to get it clean, believing in th magic laundry basket. You put dirty clothes in it, and a day or two it reappears on our bed clean and folded. The process in between is unknown to the persons until they are put on laundry duty in the military and given the explanation there.
