In contrast to the innominate vein, there exists only one innominate artery, otherwise known as the brachiocephalic trunk. The innominate artery exists on the right side and is the first branch off the aortic arch in the thoracic aorta. It branches to give the right subclavian artery and right common carotid artery. |
