Hubba hubba was something that, supposedly, a gay (before 'gay ' meant homosexual) young blade (archaic reference to a fellow) might say to an attractive young woman 'back in the day.' I'm too young (relatively speaking) to remember those days, but this expression, oddly enough, remains in the American (and possibly the English) language.
