ham and egger

A somewhat derogatory slang term, basically equivalent to "loser". Comes from the old days when miners held boxing matches; the winner got money, the loser got a ham and egg meal. Usually said of athletes.

"You're betting on Glass Jaw McGee? No way, that guy's a ham and egger all the way!
