Most gaming clubs are affiliated with schools, however due to the constant turnover of students at educational institutions the largest clubs are either independent, affiliated with hobby shops or operated by the companies that make the games. Gaming clubs can be extremely informal, however at some point organization devolves to where a more accurate name is gaming group.
