The magnitude of the charge on an electron or proton - the smallest absolute electric charge that occurs in nature, except for quarks which have +/- one-third or two-thirds of the elementary charge. Elementary charge is denoted by e and is approximately equal to 1.602*10^-19 Coulombs.
