No, this isn't yet another term for sitting around getting high, but in fact, it is just the opposite. A drug holiday is what happens when you go off your medication a few days to enjoy a respite from the side effects. A good example would be if a person whose sex life was hampered by their prozac prescription decided to check into a hotel with a loved one for a weekend of drug-free fun.
