Cyber- and e- are two prefixes used to indicate some connection with the
internet and/or
virtual reality possibilities presented by
computer technology.
Cyber- is short for cybernetic. This prefix has lost some appeal from its misuse in cyber-romances that misunderstand cyberpunk and computer science.
E- is short for electronic.
Examples include cyberzines and e-zines, cyberspace, e-mail, and e-RPGs.
