The past, as selected by
radio
consultant
s and similar scum, from a narrow list of hits of the
60's
/
70's
. Is it classic, or just popular? A truer name would be "
Oldies
for the
Clueless
". Just say no. A
real
classic rock station makes room for: old
B-side
s by
The Who
,
"Venus In Furs"
, "Psychotic Reaction", a
Stooges
bootleg or two,
"EMI"
, and cuts from The Paupers' debut
vinyl
. It would also know the non-
MTV
80's.

Some "classic rock" stations are now moving out of the
60's
and
70's
and including
song
s from the
80's
as well, but only those few songs that could be older in style. Nonetheless, classic rock radio gets terribly
monotonous
and
boring
after a while.
