Biotin is indispensible in metabolizing carbohydrates and fat, and is rarely found lacking in humans. In the unusual event someone does have a biotin deficiency, he will usually exhibit symptoms like dermatitis, loss of appetite, anemia, inflamed tongue, weakness, and muscle pain.
