Molecules involved in biological processes. Examples include:

proteins - polymers of amino acids do most of the work in cells
DNA - polymers of nucleotides that store genetic information
RNA - similar to DNA with a different sugar in the backbone. Involved in both transfer of genetic information from DNA to protein and in certain enzymatic processes (see: RNA splicing, hammerhead ribozyme).
saccharides - sugars used to cover proteins, build cellular components (such as cell walls in bacteria)
