| In the original Macross anime TV series, there were three Zentraedi spies named Warera, Rori, and Konda. (In the American bastardization known as Robotech, they became Rico, Bron, and Konda.) In both versions, these three infiltrate an Earth space battleship and find themselves in a couple of genderfucks while attempting to blend in with humanity.
Lost in the translation of their names is a particularly bad Japanese pun. You see, "Warera, Rori, Konda" sounds like "Ware-ra rorikon da", which is rough Japanese for "We are pedophiles." |
