| The name given to an innocuous, catchy and loopable bit of music used by a radio dj so he doesn't talk over the sound of silence.
These are sometimes regular bits of music with the vocals edited out (my favourite to have been given this treatment is Fatboy Slim's Going Out of my Head), or commercially produced bits of music just for radio stations. These are often sold together with jingles, and ramps, which are the bit that goes between the bed and the jingle. |
