anaphylactic shock

Known allergens which can cause anaphylactic shock:

• Insect stings - Bee,Wasp,Ants,Ticks
• Food - Peanuts, Seeds, Fish, Shellfish, Eggs
• Plants - Spruce, Grass pollen
• Medication - Pain Killers, Antibiotics (especially Penicillin), Iodine (injected)
• Latex

Anaphylaxis can also be caused by cold or exercise, usually when combined with an allergy.

A potentially fatal form of shock brought on by an extreme allergic reaction or immune response; symptoms include a sudden drop in blood pressure, difficulty in breathing, reduced body temperature, and nausea.
