| Yu Suzuki is the Chief Technical Officer of Sega-AM2, an independent development and research company owned by Sega.
Yu Suzuki was born in 1958 in Iwate prefecture, Japan. He joined the R&D division of Sega Enterprises Ltd. (as it was then) in 1983. His first major success was the arcade game Hang-On (1985), a motorcycle racing game that was the first of its kind to use a model motorbike as an input device. Suzuki has designed several successful and innovative video games, including Out Run, Space Harrier, After Burner, Sword of Vermillion, and the Shenmue and Virtua Fighter series, as well as having a hand in many of the other games developed by Sega-AM2.
In 2003, Suzuki was inducted to the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences Hall of Fame.
