Windows Refund Day

created by lumina

(thing) by lumina (?) (print)   ?   (I like it!) 1 C! Sat Nov 13 1999 at 10:12:53

On February 15, 1999, a bunch of people went to Microsoft's regional office in Foster City, California, as well as a number of other locations around the world, to request refunds for unused copies of Microsoft Windows products.

A clause in the End-User License Agreement said "If you do not agree to the terms of the EULA..."

Unfortunately, it seems that Microsoft did not agree with the terms of the EULA either, because they didn't give anyone a refund.
