The dry desert air
The sunsets
The big sky
The summer thunderstorms
The mountains
The twisty moutain roads
The weird power of the desert
The low population density
Albuquerque
Taos
Madrid
It's one of the best places in America to be a motorcyclist
It's my home.

The scenery. Solely the scenery. This morning, we had an incredible horizon-to-horizon blue sky, with a smattering of retreating stormclouds off to the east. Just friggin' gorgeous. And I'm located in a notoriously non-scenic area of the state, so you know the rest is just breathtakingly beautiful.

Favorite areas for scenery: White Sands National Monument, Bandelier National Monument, the Sangre de Christo Mountains, and particularly, the Sacramento Mountains in the southeastern part of the state.
