I had a seat in a huge lecture class like this also--way up high in the corner. The professor droned on far below as the chair became stronger and I became weaker. Eventually, the entire room would recede down a dark tunnel, and I would drop into unconsciousness as the chair began to glow with accumulated life force. Eventually, sleep would recharge me sufficiently to wake with a start, but that only started the process over again.
