| An outtake from the R.E.M. album "Murmur". It consists of the instrumental tracks from "Seven Chinese Brothers" plus an off-the-wall vocal by Michael Stipe, satirizing (apparently) the gospel music industry.
The title comes from a chorus that goes something like this:
"The pure tenor quality of the voice of Harold
Montgomery
gives a special
interpretation to the grand
old hymn The Old Rugged Cross."
Anyway, the band included this thing of nought on the album Dead Letter Office. |
