Bloody Bullshot
1.5 ounces vodka
1.5 ounces tomato juice
1.5 ounces chilled beef bouillon
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Dash salt
Dash Worcestershire sauce
Dash Tabasco
0.5 cup crushed ice
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously. Strain into a sour glass. Serves 1.
Bloody Mary
1.5 ounces vodka
3 ounces tomato juice
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Dash Worcestershire sauce
Dash Tabasco
Salt, freshly ground pepper to taste
3 or 4 ice cubes
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously. Strain into a sour glass, or, if preferred, into an old-fashioned glass with a cube of ice in it. Serves 1.
Cherry Vodka
1.5 ounces vodka
0.75 ounces cherry brandy
1 ounce lemon juice
3 or 4 ice cubes
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously. Strain into a cocktail glass. Serves 1.
Golden Screw aka Screwdriver
1.5 ounces vodka
3 ounces orange juice
3 or 4 ice cubes
Combine ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously. Strain into a cocktail glass. Serves 1. If preferred, place 2 or 3 ice cubes in an old-fashioned glass and pour in the vodka and orange juice. Stir lightly; add a dash of Angostura bitters. Also: Substitute gin for vodka.
Russian
1 ounce vodka
1 ounce gin
1 ounce creme de cacao
3 or 4 ice cubes
Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass and stir well. Strain into a cocktail glass. Serves 1.
Spanish Vodka Martini
2-3 ounces vodka
0.5-1 ounce dry sherry
3 or 4 ice cubes
Twist lemon peel
Combine the vodka and sherry in a mixing glass with ice cubes and stir well. Strain into a cocktail glass. Twist the lemon peel over the glass to release the oil and then drop peel in. Serves 1.
Vodka Martini
2.5 ounces vodka
0.5 ounce dry vermouth
3 or 4 ice cubes
Twist lemon peel
Combine all ingredients except the peel in a mixing glass and stir well. Strain into a cocktail glass and drop in the peel. Serves 1.
