A wonderful but tiny little scrap of a village in Miami-Dade County, tucked away between Miami Springs to the north (which looks large by comparison) and Miami International Airport to the south.

One year, Virginia Gardens was sick of all those Miami Springs people invading the Fourth of July event, so there were no public announcements about what would happen. Instead, the mayor went around to everybody's front door and invited them to the shindig in person.
