Called 'Bairasu' in Japan, Viras fought the Daiei kaiju Gamera. Formed from the merged bodies of a contingent of space marauders, the several-hundred foot tall multi-limbed giant monster resembles nothing so much as a squid albeit one who can leap miles straight up. Moreover, Viras can form a sharp point on its head, ram into another kaiju, and impale that kaiju on its head point like a living spear. This kaiju bears little resemblance to the kraken.
