| A day when you feel Ugly with a capital U. You know it's coming when you look in the mirror in the morning, and there's nothing you can do to stop it. But that doesn't stop you from trying. You shower extra long and fiddle with your hair. You change clothes a couple of times, trying to rid yourself of the ugliness. But it covers you like a thin film of oil. You feel dirty all day. Your clothes choke you. You can't get comfortable. You avoid looking at people and don't want to go out. All you want to do is go home and shower again and go back to bed. People insist you look fabulous but that doesn't make your mental attitude any more good-looking.
You get easily irritated. The weather bothers you.
It is all mental - Ugly Days can be set off by different things, depending on a person's hangups about their appearance. But that doesn't mean you don't really feel like shit. |
