Possibly the last Negativland tour, True/False comprised of a colossal two-and-a-half hour concert presented in 23 cities across the United States in the spring of 2000. The show included the band's collage music along with slides, film loops, parody preaching and a religious puppet show. The title was meant to suggest that the mass media are so prevalent to have clouded the nature of what's real and what isn't. From Negativland's tour press release: "The only truth you can be sure of is that nothing characterizes our over-informationalized society more than our collective inability to personally verify anything. And the spinning just keeps spinning faster." If this does turn out to be Negativland's last tour, then their last show was on May 23, 2000, in Palo Alto, California.
