I had to go to this 'New Student Day' thing today, even though I've been in college off and on for howlong? Anyway, at the top of the room, there was this girl sitting in a desk where I had a perfect view of her. Her hair, her skin, her 'hold-on-to-your-ass' tattoo, the slope of her shoulders. She was magnificent!

There's one thing to be said about a beautiful girl, men and women alike can appreciate their beauty, as long as there's no jealousy in your judgement.

Well, when they dropped the light sso we could watch this very contrived film about the school,I took that opportunity to flip a flier and sketch everything I could see. The tufts flying out of that knot of hair on her head, her hairline was poetic, jagged in places, soft in others. Her neck, slender and honey colored. Her ears just coming out of hiding, the skin of her back and shoulders....ugh!

Then there's the tattoo. All black, going the length of her back as far as I could tell. She was wearing a black and tan long and flowing dress with hair-thin straps. One black bra strap revealed. Anyway, the marking on her back was not pre-fabbed flash, with it'sweird thorns, hammers and tendrils.

And I got it all down on paper. I never even saw her face, butI have hopes I'll run into her in a class. I came straight home and showed my brother. He was nonplussed, giving it a, "huh" before I put it up on the fridge. Earlier this evening, I mapped it outon good paper. I haven't been proud of a piece in along time, but I think this will do me fo rnow.
