| Our verb "to be" is actually a hodgepodge of words taken from Sanskrit. Various tenses and permutations come from Sanskrit "breathe," "move," and "grow."
Sanskrit, and many other languages, has no word for simply "being." To be, you have to be doing something. I like this concept. (or lack thereof) |
