Hosted by Merrick and Rosso, the segment asks listeners to email or ring the station and "dob in" those stingy, frugal and down-right crazy people who'll do anything to save a few cents. The name of the section comes from the half-price movie tickets which can bought on Tuesday nights around Oz, thus attracting many "tightarses" to the cinemas at this time.

Highlights include:

• The man who didn't want to waste his Walkman batteries so took the tape out and rewound it with a pencil every time he wanted to turn it over and get it to a specific spot,
• The woman who took the battery out of her watch every night, only to replace it in the morning so "it would last longer",
• The man who took his daughter to the local rubbish tip for a 'bonding session' (he often poked through the abandoned objects in the search to find a working electrical appliance for the house)... but upon their arrival they were told there was a $1 entry fee. Naturally, not wanting to pay the whole $2 he left her outside the gate in the sun for two hours while he enoyed himself inside.
• The elderly man who had his hip replaced and asked the doctor for his old one to give to the dog as a toy...

There are many sick people out there who are just in it for the money... this program unearths them all.
