Needless to say, this works best if you're travelling with someone who doesn't speak the language.

German:
Zwei Biere bitte. Mein Freund hier zahlt.
Spanish:
Dos cervezas, por favor. Mi amigo aquí pagará.
Australian:
Two beers, Mate. And the drongo sitting next to me will slip you a rock-lobster. |
